It has been a tough summer trying to do Brecht fishing guide service  weather has been either windy or wet. Lots of cancellations and postponements. Todays trip i was supposed to have   was a no show at pymatuning. A hour drive each way and  running over some pliers on the way home causing me to have to purchase 4 new tires. I cant be mad at the customer for I dont know what could've happened I can only  hope hes ok. Enough of my complaining. June is booked up. These are my current openings in july for clarion river wade trips or 5 hour morning trips on the reservior or both for a real all day adventure. The dates are july 11/12/17/18/19  it is all i have until august.Sure would like to fill these dates these trips are unique and exciting this time of year. Weekend Fun With the Grandkids at Jamestown Campground

Pre-tournament scouting is underway at Misery Bay today and tomorrow as we gear up for the Flagship Tournament next Saturday.

It was a special day on the ice, as I’m joined by my new partner for his very first ice fishing competition: my grandson. He made me incredibly proud today; despite the -9 degree temperatures this morning, he stayed focused and worked hard through the cold.

Current Conditions & Strategy:

Mobility is Key: We stayed successful by remaining portable. Using the Otter Lodge, we were able to make quick moves to stay on the fish while staying warm and shielded from the elements.

The Bite: We managed to pull up a few solid fish. The "run and gun" approach was necessary today to find active schools.

We’ll be back at it tomorrow to refine our plan for next weekend.

<div>Guest fished a submerged tree in 35 feet of water.found the crappie under main trunk of tree about 25 ft down dropping minnows straight down. Bluegill exceeded 9 inches they were caught on a slip bobber and live minnows and nightcrawler set at 12footat the edge of the tree.</div>
